What’s the easiest way to register for the conference?

When should I register?
Register as soon as you can! Be sure to check for registration discounts because there are several—including organizational and group discounts—for which you may qualify. Registration Details.

Registration is open until either 1) the conference sells out or 2) the final day of the conference.

You can pick up your badge at the Registration Desk any time during Registration Desk hours.

Something has come up and I need to cancel. How do I go about doing this?
For cancellations received prior to close of business on Friday, September 18, 2015, a $100.00 handling/processing fee will be assessed, and the balance of your registration fee will be refunded. For cancellations received Saturday, September 19, 2015, through Friday, September 25, 2015, a 50% handling/processing fee will be assessed and the balance of your registration fee will be refunded. If you do not cancel by Friday, September 25, 2015, or if you fail to show up for the event, there will be no refunds. All cancellations must be in writing and can be emailed to service@elearningguild.com or faxed to +1.707.566.8963. Substitutions can be made at any time up to the start of the conference. Please call +1.707.566.8990 to arrange a substitution.

Do I have to sign up for the sessions?
Registered participants of DevLearn 2015 can attend any session listed in the conference schedule. (Note: This does not include optional Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses or Pre-conference Certificate Programs, for which a separate fee is required.)

Do I have to pay now, or can I be invoiced?
You can be invoiced for your registration. Simply select the "Invoice Me" payment option, and enter your PO#. (If you don’t have a PO#, type in your name in the PO field.) Once you submit your registration, we will email you an invoice. Please note that payment must be received prior to discount deadlines for the discount to remain in effect. Can I sign up for a Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Course or Pre-conference Certificate Program later if I decide to take one?
Absolutely, you can register for both Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses and Pre-conference Certificate Programs after your initial conference registration! Please remember that Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses begin online before the start of the conference, so you’ll want to register for these courses by the start date.

Both Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses and Pre-conference Certificate Programs often sell out, so you’ll want to register as early as you can.

Can I walk-in and sign up for the conference?
Walk-ins are accepted as long as the conference is not sold out. Materials for walk-in registrations are based on availability at the time of registration.

Discounts

What discounts are available?
There are two types of registration discounts: Organizational and Group discounts.

  • Organizational Discounts: Government, Accredited Academic Institutions and Non-Profit organization receive 35% off their registration.
  • Group Discount: If your organization sends three or more people to a conference, you’ll get an additional 10% off.

And of course, all eLearning Guild paid Members and Member-Plus members receive a 20% discount on their conference registration fees. These discounts are cumulative so the savings can really add up.

Do we have to pay by a certain date to receive the discounts?

What type of proof should I send to receive my discount?
To receive an Organizational Discount, you must fax proof of eligibility to +1.707.566.8963. Verification types include:

  • A statement on your organization’s letterhead verifying your proof of employment
  • A copy of your organization-issued ID card

Your registration will not be fully processed until we receive this information and it has been verified.

What is the Docent Program?
The Docent Program is a resource that is specifically designed to help you navigate the event and enhance your conference experience. The Docent Program offers a guided conference experience custom-built by experts in the field of learning technologies who are also experienced in navigating DevLearn. You are free to participate in as many guided activities as you like.

What are Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses?
The Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses combine online learning and in-person learning. The online component starts a few weeks before the conference and the in-person component takes place at the conference location on the Sunday and Monday prior to the start of the conference.

What is the duration of the Guild Academy Pre-conference Blended Courses?
Each course takes place over four weeks. The courses begin online three weeks before the start of the conference and conclude with a two-day in-person session held on Sunday, September 27 and Monday, September 28, from 8:30a – 4:30p. A separate paid registration is required to attend.

The focused optional Pre-conference Certificate Programs will be held on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29, from 8:30a – 4:30p. They are full day events. A separate paid registration is required to attend.

What is the Expo Reception all about?
Wrap up your first day at the conference by joining all your eLearning industry colleagues at the Expo Reception, which happens Wednesday, September 30, from 5:00p – 6:30p. There will be hors d’oeuvres, as well as wine, beer, and other beverages, and you’ll find people to meet and greet, exhibitors to see, surprises, and prizes!
