Session Title: Best Practices for combining Flash, Illustrator and Photoshop with Lectora

Speaker(s): Tim Kindberg, Tom Woeber

Description:
Every developer needs many methods for solving problems, but most people seem to just stick with what they know – if they know how to add an image and some text, then they are comfortable, but also limited. But, what do you do when your course requires audio, video and Flash to communicate with Lectora, which then reports to a LMS?

Session participants will learn to address the common issue of needing to use many types of media when developing e-Learning; primarily Flash, but also tools such as Illustrator and Photoshop. You’ll learn how Flash can “talk” with Lectora, so you can say “I know how” instead of “How are we going to do this?” Flash can utilize its ExternalInterface command to speak to Lectora, and other Flash objects within Lectora, which essentially breaks most barriers that exist between the two. You’ll also learn techniques for using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator with Lectora.

In this session, you will learn:
  • How to create more interactive e-Learning courses by utilizing Flash and Lectora together

  • How to combine Adobe Photoshop and Lectora

  • How to use Adobe Illustrator with Lectora

  • How to expand your course-development skill set
