We need to connect learning more to the workplace and to real problems that exist in the workplace. Not only do we need to facilitate informal learning to achieve this, but we need to make a better connection between formal eLearning and the workplace. A new theory called “Output Learning” is based on a management theory by Philip VandenDriesschein in Output Management. A transform of this theory connects formal learning to the workplace and gives managers another way to steer the development and deployment of learning activities.

In this session, you will learn a way to increase the effectiveness and relevance of formal eLearning. You’ll learn ways to make a more direct connection between learning and working, and how to steer developments. Output Learning will help you think about how to do these things in a different way.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The principles of Output Learning
  • How to connect formal learning to the workplace
  • How you, as a manger, can get a different grip on eLearning
  • A way to steer informal learning
Audience: Intermediate and advanced designers, developers, and others who understanding the world of formal and informal corporate learning will appreciate the relevance of “Output Learning.”
