Artificial intelligence (AI) is going to have a major impact on the functionality of learning systems. To date, the range and importance of these developments has been confused and underestimated. A broader perspective on the various ways that these AI technologies will soon manifest in eLearning will open participants’ eyes to new possibilities and help them understand the functionality of new products as they appear. Session participants will soon see AI enhancements to the eLearning systems they are currently using and new products based on AI technology.
Participants in this session will interact with a panel of experienced hands whose companies are coming to market with products that include different AI technologies. These include speech, vision, data analytics, intelligent tutors, intelligent agents in games and simulations, robo-graders in MOOCs, automated meta-data tagging, cameras that can tell if you’re paying attention, etc. The panelists will discuss a series of questions, and then participants will be able to ask questions.
In this session, you will learn:
- The range of product functionality that will be enabled by AI
- The different AI technologies that enable this functionality
- Some examples of new AI-enhanced products
- The limits of today’s AI technologies and the products built with them
Technology discussed in this session:
No demonstrations, but the panelists will mention examples of products.
