Each day more aspects of our lives are connected through various forms of media. Having the right skills to access and analyze information, and employ critical thinking in a media-saturated world is becoming imperative. Now more than ever, we need to be able to seek out and navigate the overwhelming amount of information that is available thoughout our information-rich society.
In a world where there is an estimated five trillion megabytes of data on the Internet, it is important as eLearning professionals to know how to traverse this ever-expanding world of information. This session will help participants to understand what digital literacy is and what is required to be capable and proficient in seeking, surfing, finding, analyzing, and creating data on the Internet.
