Organizations are increasingly looking at their capital investments to ensure that dollars are being well-allocated. Learning and development is no different than any other part of an organization in this regard; we must be able to show the value produced by our work. The challenge is that most of the data we collect and share has little or no business value. If we want businesses to care about training, we need to evaluate eLearning more effectively.

In this session you will learn the importance of planning evaluation items with solid objectives and clear outcomes in mind. You will explore the ways in which assessments can end up failing to measure what designers and organizations intend. You will leave this session with a set of tips for improving evaluation by building it into the design of a learning program and using evaluation to support organizational goals.
