Have you ever wondered how to add interactivity to your Adobe Captivate course without having to learn Flash? Do you want to allow users to complete your course, or review all the objects on a slide in any order, but still keep track of what sections they have completed? Or perhaps you want to trigger certain objects, such as an audio track or image, on a slide at the click of a button.

Say goodbye to linear, boring rapid eLearning, and learn how to create richer, more complex, interactive courses using variables and advanced actions in Adobe Captivate.

In this session, you will learn:

  • How to turn a static image into an interaction
  • How to make objects appear and disappear on your slide at the click of a button
  • Ways to trigger and stop audio tracks on your slide
  • How to make a check mark (or other image) appear when a section of your course has been completed
  • Techniques to stop users from advancing in the course until certain predefined actions have been completed

Intermediate to advanced designers and developers with a working knowledge of Adobe Captivate. You must be able to create a new project, add objects to slides, and import images and audio into Adobe Captivate.

Technology discussed in this session:
Adobe Captivate 7

Student technology needs:
Laptop loaded with Adobe Captivate 5.5 or higher and PowerPoint for image editing.
