Goodwill Industries Manasota faced the challenge of simultaneous migration and integration of a learning management system (LMS) with software-as-a-service (SAAS) and cloud-based platforms that the information systems department implemented with a human resources information system (HRIS).

Participants will hear about lessons learned and best practices, including roles, responsibilities, and dependency upon interdepartmental collaboration. You will also examine obstacles that surface such as communication gaps, meeting project milestones and deadlines, and overcoming unpredictable project scope creep, including replacing a legacy business systems model with an overarching in-the-cloud system business model. You will hear what is involved when troubleshooting, working with both the vendor and the IT department, and how to document processes and technical procedures to help future troubleshooting and create effective workflow strategies. You will learn why it is important to define roles and responsibilities in meeting deadlines.
