Adapting Classroom Training to a Technology-driven Learning Ecosystem
Ecosystem 2014 - March 20, 2014
Chief Learning Evangelist
When an organization begins to leverage technology and create an effective learning ecosystem, the expectations placed upon instructor-led classroom training tends to change dramatically in support of this new blend. A learning ecosystem is not an event-based model; it is a dynamic, ever-changing environment where learning and performance happen in the workflow rather than just in a classroom. Organizations and individual trainers that have used classroom-based training as the primary source of learning and performance must adapt to the new model or risk becoming obsolete.
In this session, you will explore this fundamental shift. You will learn about the new role of the classroom, and more importantly the expanded role for the trainer who facilitates it. You will discuss the new makeup of the classroom and the competencies needed to run an effective classroom training program in a world that is more virtual and less brick-and-mortar than ever before.
