How Performance Support Evolves over Time
Performance Support Symposium 2014 - September 8, 2014
Senior Learning Solutions Manager
Performance support methodologies and tools have evolved much over the years. This evolution is also evident within an organization. Part of an effective performance support strategy is recognizing when it is working, when it might need to be improved, and allowing it to evolve over time to support the changing needs of an organization.
In this session participants will learn from the story of Herman Miller, an organization that has been on a performance support journey for over six years. You will learn how performance support has evolved from simple IT support to the application of corporate competencies and context sensitive CRM support. You will explore examples of performance support that are in use today at Herman Miller. You will learn how performance support started as an experiment and grew into an organizational strategy that is part of every change management plan. You will discuss how to sell and grow performance support in your organization, steps to creating culture shift, and how to effectively blend performance support into your learning ecosystem.
