Without a sustainable, easily implemented strategy to capture and share (or push) information, knowledge, and direction among employees, technology is just hardware and software. As learning professionals, our goal is to enable a thriving community of learning and wildly successful performance. Let’s discuss the ecosystem that facilitates and sustains the community at a global aerospace corporation, a global pharmaceutical organization, and large healthcare solution provider. The planning begins and ends with people but is built on a solid foundation.

Our topics of discussion about a current, thriving community will include enabling the SME to enable performers in the workforce; strategy, processes, organization, and technologies; and proof of success every day.

In the learning industry, trends and the latest, greatest tools abound. Microlearning has not only stood the test of time, it is uniquely suited to facilitate business in today’s largely informal, development-driven work environment. Satisfying learners’ needs is more difficult every day. Learning has to be just enough, just in time, just where needed, just the right format, just the right access, just big enough, just small enough, consumable, bite size, and maintainable. However, sharing knowledge and information alone is not enough to drive the business. Let’s discuss how to manage this learning ecosystem.
