Great user experience (UX) and optimal design of mLearning products go further than layout, navigation, and style. Although these items are highly important, training materials need to be presented in an engaging way, and their writing style and wording need to fit into the bigger picture. Writing for mobile is very different from writing for other media. How does the written content fit with the design and development?

In this session you will explore the importance of the written content for your mLearning projects. You will learn how written words fit into and enhance the UX, and how that can increase usability as well as facilitate learning. You will leave this session with a number of tips to use when creating eLearning content for mobile platforms.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The definition and importance of TL;DR
  • How to evaluate the pros and cons of various writing styles
  • How writing style is part of the UX
  • How to identify techniques that work optimally for eLearning material

Audience:
Novice to advanced designers, project managers, and SMEs.
