Are you an Adobe Captivate user who is a little nervous about creating and using your own variables? What about creating advanced actions or even JavaScript? If you’ve ever hesitated to use these powerful options in Captivate—perhaps by declaring, “I’m not a programmer!”—then this session is for you.

In this session, you’ll discover that you don’t need to be a programmer to take advantage of these techniques and make your lessons adapt to each individual learner’s progress. You’ll also learn how easy it is to include some canned JavaScript that will allow you to create a lot of interactions with a lot less work, along with some other cool actions you can apply that will make your work faster and easier, with fewer headaches.

In this session, you will learn:

  • About options for using system and user variables for personalization, tracking, and adaptation
  • How to create and apply actions, advanced actions, and shared actions to give learners a fuller interactive experience
  • How to reuse and create short scripts in JavaScript to make interactions even better and cut down on the amount of work you need to do
