P03 B.Y.O.L.: Using Articulate Storyline to Build Assessments, Scenarios, and Simulations
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday, October 27
Articulate Storyline has been a great addition to the toolbox for eLearning designers and developers. Since it does not require knowledge of programming, many are able to pick it up pretty quickly. However, some of the self-taught Storyline users never venture beyond the basic understanding of the tool. You can do a lot with the basics, but what about when you need something a little more complex? Knowing how to build scenarios and simulations is a growing need in the field.
In this workshop you will explore the more advanced features of Articulate Storyline that allow you to respond to some of the unique needs in your eLearning design. You will discover how to add assessments to your learning programs. You will examine how to build simulations and branching scenarios that can help create meaningful learning experiences. This workshop is hands-on, with opportunities to practice, build, and brainstorm how to apply these features in your own situations.
In this session, you will learn:
- To build assessments and surveys with Storyline
- To build simulations in Storyline
- To design effective learning scenarios
- To develop learning scenarios in Storyline
- To record, edit, and insert video tutorials
Novice and intermediate designers and developers who are familiar and comfortable with the basic functions of Storyline.
