Karl Kapp
Professor of Instructional Technology and Director of the Institute for Interactive Technologies

Karl M. Kapp, EdD, is a professor of instructional technology at
Bloomsburg University, where he teaches game design and
gamification classes. Karl also serves as the director of
Bloomsburg’s Institute for Interactive Technologies. He has
authored or co-authored eight books, including The Gamification
of Learning and Instruction and Play to Learn. Karl is
the author of several LinkedIn Learning courses, including the
"Gamification of Learning," and is designer of the instructional card
game "Zombie Instructional Design Apocalypse." He has received
the eLearning Guild's Guild Master award and was named a
LinkedIn Top Voice in Education in 2017. Karl speaks and consults
internationally, helping organizations with the convergence of
games, learning, and technology.
