IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee
Tyde Richards chairs the IEEE Learning Technology Standards
Committee and IEEE Actionable Data Book project and has over
25 years of experience in the field of technology-supported
learning. His career has emphasized the relationship of advanced
technology to interoperability. He has held related positions in
academia (USC), the corporate world (Apple Computer,
Macromedia, IBM) and under contract to the U.S. Advanced
Distributed Learning Initiative (ADL). He was instrumental in
helping define, standardize, and globally promote the the ADL
Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM).
