CEO & Co-founder
eLearning has become an integral part of learning delivery in corporations across the globe. However, unless forced down the throats of learners via key result areas or compliance requirements, eLearning’s effectiveness and adoption by learners still remains a challenge because learners often don’t find content relevant to their needs or that matches their learning style. We need an intelligent system that can analyze learning patterns and preferences in real time and present the most relevant content to learners in their preferred learning style—rather than serving a predefined set of topics. Such adaptive learning systems are now used in the education domain, with some very promising results. However, the corporate-learning sector has not caught up with adaptive learning yet and is thus missing out on an important technological development. Adaptive learning drives better adoption rates because the learners feel more connected with the content. Increased learner satisfaction ensures higher learning impact better ROI for an eLearning program.
Participants in this case-study session will review current learning systems and eCourse structures, and the limitations they pose from a learner perspective. Using case studies from the education domain, you’ll discover some real-life benefits of adaptive learning, various ways to structure the content, and changes you can make in learning systems to make those systems adaptive.
In this session, you will learn:
- The challenges with current eLearning content and system design
- How adaptive learning can make eLearning more effective for learners
- From case studies on adaptive learning in the education domain
- Strategies for content development and design that align to the principles of adaptive learning
Intermediate and advanced project managers, managers, directors, VPs, and CLOs with eLearning delivery knowledge.
