Not all evidence is equal, especially when it comes to learning design practices. For example, xAPI is valuable as evidence of learner behavior. Use of this data leads to evidence-informed practice, however it is of a limited set. The greater need is evidence from scientific research. Becoming aware of scientific evidence in the learning field is the first step; putting that into practice is the next.

In this session, we’ll look at evidence-informed learning experience design. You will learn four steps to better ensure that you make design decisions based on scientific evidence. You will see how to use the evidence to have focused conversations with clients, partners, and stakeholders on why you recommend certain design decisions. Designing with evidence will improve your expertise, your value in the organization, and most importantly your solutions.
