Top 8 GenAI prompts for learning creators

Imagine starting a typical learning creation process and taking ADDIE as your default framework. There are prompts that can help you at any of those stages.

Analysis:

Here, AI becomes your trusted aide, helping you create learner analysis tools and condensing the results into an easy-to-digest format.

Prompt #1: “Act as an instructional designer. I'm solving a learning problem for [target audience] on the topic of [subject matter]. Generate a survey that identifies the learner's needs, preferences, and understanding of the subject matter.”

If you need your survey questions and answers to be formed in a specific manner, paste an example in the prompt and add, “Ensure all survey questions and answers are phrased in the following manner.”

Prompt #2: "[Copy and paste data from the survey results]. Based on this summary of learner needs and their learning environment, provide a detailed analysis report. What are the major challenges and opportunities, and how can our course design address them?"

If you need the report to have specific sections, include this instruction in the prompt.

Design:

Prompt #6: "Create four multiple choice questions assessing learners' knowledge based on these learning objectives [learning objectives]. Indicate the correct answer and provide feedback for the incorrect answer options. Ensure all answer choices are relevant and believable."

As with the prompt above, you can insert the lesson content into the prompt for better results.

Implementation:

In this stage, as the instructional materials meet the learners, GenAI can assist both in the set-up and the actual execution of the learning experience—prepping educators and prompting interactions.

Evaluation:
