P07 B.Y.O.L.: Creating Excellent eLearning and mLearning in Adobe Captivate
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Tuesday, October 28
Renoir 1
Most of the work that the average eLearning designer/developer creates exists with a gap between what he or she knows to be a high-quality learning experience, and what he or she is able to build. In most cases that gap does not exist because of a lack of desire or imagination. The challenge most eLearning professionals have is that they lack the understanding of what is truly possible with today’s tools, and the competency to bring those possibilities into reality.
In this workshop you will learn how to use the unique features of Adobe Captivate to take the learning programs you build to new heights. You will create models that you will be able to reuse for your own eLearning designs to deliver to both desktop and mobile devices. You will learn how to take advantage of features that are unique to mobile while still providing a full quality experience in desktop browsers. You will explore how to use Captivate to deliver to multiple languages, how to create software simulations, and much more. You will leave this workshop ready to create the eLearning programs that have until now only existed in your imagination.
In this session, you will learn:
- To create truly engaging eLearning in Adobe Captivate
- To focus on the learner and not on the trainer
- To take advantage of underused features that make a huge difference
- To simultaneously develop both mobile and desktop learning programs
